The Huddnrt Parker Company is restoring a direct steamer service from Sydney to Hobart from Sopt. Ist. with the Bom bn la, a former Western Australian boat. There will ho a big increase in fares. The ill-fated Rivcrina formerly maintained this service. MURDER INVEST! G ATI ON. BRISBANE, Aug. 22. Detective's investigating the murder of Goodsir Miller at Corolla River, beyond Cloneurry, discovered a second body, believed to be that of a coloured man. whose features have been charred by fire. The police have arrested an Indian named Fullcl Ahmed, on a charge of murder. Miller was a copper ganger near Ba.llara. His body was found in a rubbish pit. He had been missing sinco July 30th. .SOUTHERN CROSS DELAYED. PERTH. Aug. 21.
More rain precluded the Southern Cross hopping off from May lands as cabled. It may Ha two more days before they leave. Fears are entertained In- Smith that the New Zealand flight, may have to be postponed for another month especially if they are delayed at Mary lands beyond Saturday, in which case they will miss the full moon.
