Middlesex first innings 318 (Enthoveu 71, Robins 64); second innings 61 for 4. Middlesex won on the first innings.
Sussex, first innings, 405 (H. Parks not out 15S, A. Gilligan 104, Cornford 57) ; second innings 390 for 7 (Uowley 92, Langridge 62. Duleepsinghji 107, H. Parks not out 74). Kent first innings 412 for 9 declared (J. Bryan 109, Woolley 120). Kent won on the first innings. Glamorgan first innings 341 (Bell 89, D. Davies 61, Shepherd 4 for 67), second innings 199 for 4 (Bates 58, Turnbull not out 51). Surrey first innings 392 for 6 (Sandharn not out 204. Gregory 74) ; second innings 553 for 7, declared (Sandharn not out 248, Garland Wells not out 61). Surrey won on the first innings. Somerset first innings 28S (Longrigg 95, Glasgow 53, Judd 6 for 65); isepolnd innings 152 for 7 declared (Young 55, Kennedy 4 for 34). Hampshire first innings 151 (Greswell 9 for 62). Somerset won on the first innings.
Gloucestershire first innings 315 (B. Lyon 70. Smith 69, Neale 96, Hipkin 6 for 107). Essex first innings 177 for 2. The match was drawn.
For Northamptonshire against Worcestershire (Woolley 71. W. Timms 61, J. Timms 58, Jupp 4 for 47 and 7 for 113, Thomas 4 for 21). Northants won. For Derbyshire against Leicestershire (Storer 69. Lee 81 and 107. unfinished, Worthington 4 for 51 and 5 for 39, Lee 5 for 31 and 4 for 20). For Leicestershire (Shipman 50, Snary -r for 50). Derby won.
