(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) NEW YORK, Aug. 16. Johnny Risko lost on a foul to Roberti, the Italian heavyweight, in the sixth round of a scheduled ten round bout. Roberti, who outweighed Risko by more than twenty pounds, has advanced to an important position as a contender for Gene Tunney’s vacated heavyweight title. KEENEY’S AIOA’BAIENTS. NEW YORK, Aug. 15. Tom Heeney confored with Tex Rickard to-day, after which the latter stated that Heeney, who is leaving for New Zealand with his wife on Friday, will return to America in January next to resume fighting. Rickard remarked: “I think that Heeney will be welcomed bade, too, for I expect him to be one the biggest drawing cards in our heavyweight title elimination.” Heeney is giving a farewell dinner to the boxing writers to-morrow. Carroll (10.4) the welter-weight champion of Australia., beat Harry Casey (10.6) the middleweight champion of New Zealand on points in a 15-round contest to-night. Carroll kept Casey out with his long straight lefts, which were without much weight behind them. Casey tried to force the fight, hitting wildly with both hands, but never with effect. Casey depended chiefly on hooks and swings. It was not a good exhibition.
