ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.
The usual fortnightly fixture at the above yards was held yesterday, there being -a representative attendance of buyers. In the cattle section the entry was somewhat smaller than usual, while prices were distinctly firmer than previous sales. Prime ox beef made to 42s per hundred, medium 37s fid to 40s, cow beef 35s to 365. For the entry of sheep there was keen competition. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co-, sold: as follows: —On account of Mr J. Condon, 21 ewes at 355, 61 wethers at 395. On account of a client 46 cross bred ewos (in lamb) at 365. On account of Mr IV. Diedrichs 2 bulloc-ks at £l3 17s fid, 3 at £l3 2« 6d, 2 at £ll, 2 at £lO 17s fid, 1 cow at £ll, 1 at £9 ss. On account of Mr G. Ferguson 1 heifer at £lO 15s, 2 runners at £4 7s fid, 4 at £4, 2 at £4 7s fid, 1 at £4 2s 6d, 2 at £3 15s, 1 ditto at £4 10s, 2 at £3 12s fid. On account Messrs Finch Bros., 4 store steers at £5 12s 6d, 4 store heifers at £3 15s, 1 cow at £G 2s 6d, 1 cow and runner at £4 12s Gd.
