Mr Nosworthy replied to representations by a deputation that asked him to contest the mid-Canterbury seat, that in view of the position affecting Mr David Jones, he (Nosworthy) was leaving tlie matter in the hands ol the Premier and liis eonimitte, and would abide by their decision as to the best way of retaining the mid-Canter-burv seat for the Reform Party-.
