An old pioneer resident of the Coast passed away at the Grey River Hospital on Saturday in the person of Mr Joseph Cundy, aged 85 years. The late Mr Cundy was a native of County Tyrone, and came to New Zealand when a young man. He was well known in the Grey Valley, having resided at Ngahere and Totara Flat for over fifteen years. In the early days he was employed as a, waggon driver in that district. He was single and as far as is known, had no relative's in the Dominion.
