ARAHURA FAT STOCK SALE.

AV. JEFFRIES AND CO.’S REPORT

Yesterday’s fixture at these yards was noted for the heavy yarding of cattle, 131 being penned on account of tho various auctioneers. Prices in consequence, "ere much easier than nt the previous sale, extra prime beef made to 38s per hundred, heavy weight bullocks 365, medium best finish to .40s, heifer beef, extra prime 35s to 365-, cow beef to 335. Messrs W. Jeffries and Co. sold as. follows:—On account Air P. J. Sim 1 runner at £5, 2 at £4 7s 6d, 1 at £4 ss, 1 heifer at £9 10s, 1 cow at £8 10s., 2 cows at £7. On account of a client, 2 bullocks at £ll, 5 heifers at £9 15s, On account Air J. Davidson 3 bullocks at £ll, 2 at £9 15s, 3 at £8 17s Cd, 2 at £8 os, 1 cow at £lO 17s 6d, 3 cows at £9 10s, 3 at £7 17s (kl, 1 at £5 10s. On account Air AV. F. Diedrichs, 4 bullocks at £l4, *2 at £l3 2s 6d, 2 at £l2, 2 steers at £9 15s.

M. HOUSTON AND CO.’S REPORT.

At yesterday’s fortnightly sale at tho above yards our entry consisted of 58. fat sheep and 46 head of fat cattle. There was only a moderate attendance of buyers and competition was not at all keen, with the result that prices recorded were lower than those ruling at the last sale. Ox beef sold up to 38s per hundred and cow beef from 28s to 345, .according to quality. Fat slieop were much clearer than at last sale. AVo sold as follows:—On account of J. G. Meharry 58 fat ewes at 32s 6d ; on account of AV. F. Dicdric-h 1 bullock at £l4, 3 bullocks at £44 15s; on account of AU Keenan 1 bullock at £9 2 ‘at £9 15s, 2 at £9 10s, 2 at £8 15s 3 at £8 10s, 2 at £8 15s; on account of R. De Filippi 1 cow at £6 15s- on account of AV. A. Jamieson 1 cow at £S 10s, 2 at £7 7s Cd, 2 bullocks at £ll 12s 6d, 2 at £9 os. 2 at £9, 21 at £7 ss, 1 Jersey cow in profit at £l6; on account of T Staines 2 cows at £6 10«, 1 at £6 10s, 2 at £5 15s, 5 at £6 12s 6d,
