Australian Press Assn.—United Service TUNNEY’S PI,AN. VANCOUVER, July 21. Gene Tuuney has already signed a contract with Tex Rickard for next year. The terms are fixed on a percentage basis, instead of a. flat guarantee. This means that the days of fabulous purses are over, unless the boxers can draw them through the gates. Tuuney realises that his hold upon the cash customers will be enhanced considerably if he disposes of Heeney by a knock-out, and that it must come within five or six rounds, if at all.

In die boxing contest in the Drill Hall last night before an attendance of nearly *IOOO people, Johnny Ueckio (Bst 12Jlbs) was given the decision over Norman Radford (Bsf‘ 12Jlbs) at the end of fifteen rounds. The decision was given a mixed reception. n'nd it was certainly one of the hardest and closest contests that Leekie Ims had since he entered the professional ranks, hut the balance tipped in his favour in the last round, in which he came with a great hurst.
