Nottinghamshire first innings, 350 (Whysall 166). Rhodes took five for 87. Yorkshire : won on the first innings, Hampshire, first innings, 194, second 181. McDonald took five for 54. Lancashire, first innings, 395 for nine l wickets, declared (Watson 121, Hallows 81). Lancashire won by an innings and 20 runs.
West Indies, first innings, 209 (Constantine 70). Speed took five for 39; second innings, 313 (Challenor 81, Roach 69, Browne not out 50). Warwickshire, first innings, 384 (Parsons 161; Groom 69) ; second, 139 for three wickets. Warwickshire won by seven wickets. For Leicestershire against Gloucestershire Smith made 65, Asti!! took eight for 81; for Gloucestershire Dipper made 107, Sinfieltl 66. Leicester won. For Northamptonshire against Glamorgan Bellamy made 91. Bakewell; not out, 63, Woolley 67, Timms 101. Brown, not out 103. For Glamorgan D. Davies made 103, E. Davies 61. Northamptonshire won.
