Nottinghamshire first innings, 350 (Whysall 166). Rhodes took five for 87. Yorkshire : won on the first innings, Hampshire, first innings, 194, second 181. McDonald took five for 54. Lancashire, first innings, 395 for nine l wickets, declared (Watson 121, Hallows 81). Lancashire won by an innings and 20 runs.
West Indies, first innings, 209 (Constantine 70). Speed took five for 39; second innings, 313 (Challenor 81, Roach 69, Browne not out 50). Warwickshire, first innings, 384 (Parsons 161; Groom 69) ; second, 139 for three wickets. Warwickshire won by seven wickets. Sussex, first innings, 312 (Tate 126); second, 262 for eight wickets, declared (Tate 62, Cook 73). Essex, first innings, 156, second 2GB (Cutmoro 101, O’Connor 62). Sussex won by 150 runs. For Leicestershire against Gloucestershire Smith made 65, Asti!! took eight for 81; for Gloucestershire Dipper made 107, Sinfieltl 66. Leicester won. For Northamptonshire against Glamorgan Bellamy made 91. Bakewell; not out, 63, Woolley 67, Timms 101. Brown, not out 103. For Glamorgan D. Davies made 103, E. Davies 61. Northamptonshire won.
