• United Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) ANTI-WAR PACT. WASHINGTON. July 1. The Irish Free State has unconditionally accepted the invitation to sign the Kellogg nnti-War Pact. The T7.S.A. State Denartment has issued the Irish Free State’s Note, which states: “Tfie effectiveness of the proposed treaty is an instrument for the suppression of war depends, to a great extent, upon,-its universal application.” For this reason, the Free State hopes that the Treaty will eventually he accepted by all the nations which so far are not included in the negotiations.

It is believed that when the Kellogg Pact is sigii'ra, the United States will take the initiative for financial peace calling an International Conference to consider the war debts, and reparations and cognate matters.
LIQUOR SMUGGLING. WASHINGTON, July 17. Five million gallons of liquor left other countries in the last fiscal year, intended to be smuggled into United States, nine millions less than 1027, the Government claims.
