“TWO ARABIAN KNIGHTS”
TO-NIGHT
A United Artists Special will be shown at tho Princess Theatre tonight entitled “Two Arabian Knights” starring William Boyd, Mary Astor and Louis Wolheim, a fun-stacked story of the post-war period, with a pair of pals who lost themselves in a harem. They made her laugh—they, made each other—they’ll make you roar 1 Picture experts see in Boyd a return to the American, Nordic type of star, displaced for the past years by popularity of Latin leading men. Boyd has a twinkling eye and a devil-may-care smile. His film history alone is distinctly an American story of success, too, because it was only after years of struggle and disappointment that he attained the heights. Despite his wealth of experience, this comedy drama of two soldiers, at the close of the war and what happens to them, is really Boyd’s first effort in a film production dealing with hilarious situations almost exclusively. The dramatic moments in “Two Arabian Knights” are employed to make amusing incidents ‘funnier by .contrast: Boyd’s role in the film is the part of a fiich young private of infantry, who, like all privates, hates his sergeant. How these two characters are thrown together, and how they indulge in a series of personal fights until dangerous circumstances compel them to he buddies, are part of the story, which / serves to give Boyd a heroic character, als well as one the spectators may la.iigh with throughout the ’.swiftly-moving film. Louis Wolhq'im plays the sergeant. He. was the original Captain Flagg of “What Price Glory” when it opened on the stage in New York.
