In tlie Commons, Mr Robinson inquired the cost of Mr Amery’s Empire tour. Mr Amery said tlm expenditure chargeable to the vote was £3055 sterling, exclusive of the expenses of the representative of the Empire Marketing- Board which was chargeable to its fund. T and my staff were the guests of the various Dominions. I am glad to take this opportunity of expressing appreciation of the generous hospitality. . Sir Joynson Hicks replying to Mr Haves, in reference to Bvng’s appointment, said the Tolice Act specifically prevented a Commissioner from being selected from members of the Commons.
