Tex Rickard emphatically denied the rumour that he was considering the substitution of another heavyweight for Heeney and would postpone the bout due to alleged lack of interest. He states' that the advance sales already exceed 250,000 dollars; adding: “I think the betting odds will favour Heeney three to one when lie enters luo ring to fight Tunney.”
