Judge Booby giving judgment upon the claim by the waterside workers for a new award, declared the union officials had fomented the strife on the waterfront, even more than the men themselves. The union’s policy was a danger to the community. Unfortunately the employers had gradually yielded to the conditions irnnnscd by the men's federation and the position on the waterfront had become more difficult. . Judge Bee by refused, unconditionally, preference and provided penalties for breaches of the award, which would enable employers to come to the court, instead of yielding so frequently to union pressure.
