CREAM GRADING.
PALMERSTON N„ June 19. The National Dairy Association Conference to-night rejected a, remit proposing to give dairy companies discretionary power in regard to deductions from suppliers’ cheques where there is cream supplied under thirtyfive test. A lengthy discussion ensued on the introduction of a proposal to alter the cream grading from “finest”, “first” ami “second” grades, to “first” and “second”, only. This proposal finally was rejected, as was a suggestion that concession rates on the railway should be granted for tlie carriage of cream. SERIOUS THEFT CHARGES. ELTHAAI, June 19. At the Afagistrate’s Court to-day Harley Hector Henderson, formerly Alanager for Newton King Ltd., at their Kaponga Branch, was charged with the theft of £1225 on July 28, 1924. John Harold Adam, former clerk of the same- branch was charged with the theft of £lO2 on April 15 1926. Both were remanded to appear on July 4, hail being forthcoming. A detective stated that the amount involved in Henderson’s case would be about £1209/ and in that of Adam’s case about £2OO.
