TOM HEENEY TRAINING. NEW YORK, June 16
A message from Fairhaven says: Tom Heeney has intensified his training. He went four rounds with two local heavyweights, and lie did four miles of moderately hard roadwork.
Heeney eats hut two meals a day. Ihe Now Zealand boxer spoke for the first time through the cinema movie-tone in which lie thanked the American people for their hospitality. Heeney declared that Fairhaven—which was only a small town—must bo well known, because Tie has received a. letter from a friend in Australia, addressed “Fairhaven, America.”
VANCOUVER, .June 15. Knox, who claims to be the sculling champion of New Zealand, was entertained by the Vancouver Rowing Club. He is on route to see the Heeiiey-Tunney fight. Tho sculler’s permanent residence is Toronto.
