HOCKEY.
Mawhera were to have met the Excelsior ladies from Hokitika, hut owing to the Teremakau bridge being closed for repairs the Hokitika hockey team wore unable to fulfil their engagnient against Mawhera at the Victoria Park.
United ’A met United B at the. Recreation Ground, and after an interesting match, the A team finished up winners by four goals to one. For the winning team. Miss Sands shot three goals, and Miss L. Boddy one .goal. Miss G. Grant .scored a goal for tlio B team. The Cobden ladies travelled to Dunollio yesterday afternoon, and had to lower their banner to the Runanga team, the final score being three to nil in Runanga’s favour.
