Australian Press Assn.—United Service ENGLISH COUNTY RESULTS. LONDON, May 29. County cricket results are:— Middlesex against Sussex in the first innings made 195 (Enthoven G 3). Tate taking 5 for -10; and in the second made 329 declared (Twening not out 121, 1 Icndron 51, and Rcttingtou 95). Sussex in the first made 207, Bcltington taking 1 for 87, and Hearne 5 for 40; and in the second 215 (Bowlcy 94), Rettington taking 0 for 78. Middlesex won by 112 runs. Worcestershire in first innings made 211 against Essex (Tarbox 55), and in the second 232, Nichols taking (5 for 04. Essex in the first made 430 for 9 (Cutmore 01. O’Connor S2, Russell 1.35, Douglas 68), Tarbox taking 7 for 114;

and in tile second 8 for 0. Essex wby ten wickets. Lancashire in the firs I inningagainst Yorkshire made 385 (Hallow* 58, Taylor 00. Idon 87, Green 52) Rhodes took -1 for 50. In tho seeom Lancashire made 80 for 1. Yorkshin in tho first made 473 •. Holmes 79. Silt cliffe 140, Mitchell 7-1). Yorkshin won oil the first innings.

Nottinghamshire in the first made 457 against Surrey ('Gunn 122, Walker 51, .Barrett 98, A. Staples 94) and in the second made only fifty. Fender taking 4 for 21, and Peach 0 for 24. Surrey in the first mado 288 (Hobbs 114) and in the second 220 for 3 (Shepherd 08, Sandham not out 92). Surrey won by seven wickets. Kent with 470 for 9 declared against Somerset. Chapman scoring 141, Ames 129 and Todd not out 51. Somerset in the first innings made 244 (Case 54, Jaskell 51), Wright taking 4 for 07. Somerset followed on and made 148, Ashdown taking 5 for 31. Kent won hv an innings and 84 runs.

Os ford University in the first made 191 against Glamorgan, Crowley scoring 89, Kingsley 89. Harbor 89, and Cai-i.itulwells 83. In the second Oxford made 73 for 2. Glamorgan in thj l ist made 323 (Hills 91, Rates 87, Mercer not out 57). They lollowcd on and made 243 (Williams not out 53). Oxford won by eight wickets.

Cambridge University against Most Indies in the first made 141. Constantino taking 5 for 35, and in the second 155. West Indies in the first made 257 (Fernandes 73, Noblett 61) and in the second 40 for 1. West Indies won by nine wickets. For Derbyshire against W arwieksliire, Hutchison made 111, and Riclinrrdson not out <O. for Warwick, Wyatt made 104, Santa!! 84, Smith 82, and Kilncr 65, Warwick won.

For Hampshire against Gloucester shire Maud made 110. Roves took for 51. For Gloucestershire B. Lyoi made 79, and Hammond took 5 for 41 and Sinfield 5 for 62. Gloucester won

For Northamptonshire against Leicestershire, .Tupp made 74, and Thomas took 4 for 61. For Leicester Dawson made 130, and Astill took 5 ioi 16. Leicester won.
