ADDiNCTON STOCK SALE.

There were good average yardings at Addington market to-day and prices on the whole wen- well maintained, despite the absence of anything very exceptional in quality. Eat cattle —A total yarding of 56:). They were of medium quality. The competition was lair. Prices were well up to late rates. Rest steers sold at £lB 10s to £23, prime £l3 10s and £ls 15s; medium £LO 10s and £l3. light £8 10s and £lO. Best cows fetched £ll 10s to £ls; medium £8 5s to £8 15s, light £6 15s and £7 10s. Best heifers realised £9 10s and £ll 15s, medium £7 10s to £9 ss, light £6 10s to £7 10s.
Calves. —A large yarding and the quality was fair. The demand proved firm. Small calves sold at 20s to 07s Oil, medium at 80s to 395, good £2 to £3 15s, runners £1 to £7, extra to £8 10s.
Fat sheep-A good yarding, hut mostly of unattractive consignments. Best ewes and wethers sold up to late rates. Lighter sorts were easier. Prime wethers fetched 85s 6d to 39s Od, extra to -17 s, medium 32s (Id to 355, lighter sorts from 28s, prime owes sold at 29s (id to 3356 d, extra to -11 s Id, medium 25s to 28s Od, light from 21.5.
Fat him I is—-A fair catalogue, but not up to last week’s standard. Prices were well maintained, and in some eases were in excess of the previous rates. Best lambs sold from 38s to 10s, prime 32s Od to 375, good 39s to 325, others 20s to 29s Oil. Store sheep and lambs—l he entix was a small one, and meetly of backward sorts. The competition was keen for good sorts. Prices were up to 39s Od for classic lots. Cross-breds sold up to 20s 3d, and half-breds to 22s 2d.' The adult stores were a small entry, mostly of sound-mouth ewes, and a lew six and eight-tcoth wethers Ml’votooth Romney ewes sold up to Jis 09. Six and eight-tooth luilf-bred ewes sold up to 29s 6cl. pj.o-s "Fat pigs constituted a ir " e entry. Prices were easier, especially for iio-lit and unfinished sorts. Eight porkers realised 27s to 31s, medium 32s to 425, best 4os to 535. The average price was s)d per lb. Light bneouer.s sold at 48s to 555, medium 5Gs to 70s, heavy 72s to £5 6s. The average price per lb. was sd. The store pigs were a large yarding and they sold at late rates.
