PLAYING FIELDS IN BRITAIN, RUGBY, May 25.

The movement started by the. National Playing Fields Association for providing outdoor recreation facilities in thickly-populated areas has resulted in voluntary gifts of £330,000 and 400 acres of land, while the Ministry for Health has sanctioned loans by local authorities amounting to £300.000 for the acquisition of a further 1300 acres to he used as playing fields.
