WINTER SHOW
PUBLIC HALL KOKATAHI
OPENING ON TUESDAY
The Kokatahi-Koiterangi Winter Show will bo opened on Tuesday afternoon next at 2 o’clock, until 5 p.m., and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
In connection with the Show the following additional special prizes have been received : Airs C. Pfahlert, 7s 6d for best sewing in children’s classes. Airs L. H. Alorel, a Silver Cup' for the most points in iced cakes and iced sponges ; to be won twice in succession or three "times' ot intervals, before becoming the property of the winner.
Included in tho Show there will he an exhibit by Atr Screen of the State Forest Nursery at AVoodstock of seedling trees, etc., from the Nursery. The Show Committee have been busily engaged during tho week preparing for the' Show and the Public Hall and annexe are now practically ready for the reception of exhibits. There is every prospect of a record success. The housewives of the district are having a busy time preparing their exhibfis and the result will surely redound to their credit.
For the convenience of town exhibitors tho County Council has placed their lorry at the service of tho Show Committee, and the lorry will leave tho Clock Tower, Hokitika, on Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock. In the list of members of the Committee of the Kokatahi Show, published in the official catalogue for next week’s Show, tho name of Air James Fleming has been inadvertently omitted.
