SETTING FIRE TO A HUSBAND PARIS, March 1. The Correctional Court here to-day acquitted' a woman who was accused of attempting to burn her husband to death by pouring alcohol over him and setting lire to Ins clothing. The husband became like a torch, but was able to put the flames out and roll himself in blankets. Ho escaped more frightened than hurt. 'When asked why she set her husband on fire, the woman looked appealing towards him and fa <1 '■ “My husband will toll you all about it.’ Hesitating, and embarrassed, the husband, a Pole, said he wanted to forgot about the incident. Above all. ho did not want his wife, whom he loved as deeply as ever, to go to prison. He pleaded so touchingly for her that that presiding judge acquitted her, and the couple kissed affectionately in coxirt and left together arm-in-arm.
