No worse day for a test could have ' been imagined. It was raining, then snowing, and a hitter wind was blowing. Wet pavements, water-logged dirt roads, fields half covered with water, soggy sand, treacherous holes, railroad crossings, hair-pin turns—all these formed some of the driving luCt tors when the new machines were demonstrated. And the new I'ord drove them like a veteran. To sit in it was a complete revelation. Speed to burn, easy handling, no jar, no squeaks, no rattles, the ear is a real delight. Can it travel fast? Well, one of the reporters watched tTio speedometer climb to the (Jo-miles-an-lionr mark, and the car was not extended then. And this was done on the slippiest, most treacherous kind of pavement. The driver said that he had done more than 70 miles an hour with the same machine. —Advt.
