ADCINCTGN STOCK SALES. CHRISTCHURCH. Alay 9. At the Addington market to-day while heel was cheaper, fat lambs sold very well, but stores declined. Fat Cattle.—There was a large entry including a good percentage of unfinished sorts. The prices were easier by 10s per hundred His. For inferior steers, the market was down £1 ss. Prices for steers wore: Best £ls to £lB 15s. medium £ll 10s to £ll 15s, in-. I'erior £lO to £ll. Prices for cows were: Heavy £9 10s to £l3 15s, medium £7 to £9, inferior 04 to £6 10s. Heifers sold as follows: Best £ll 10s to 015 ss; others £0 to £ll. Gdves.—There was a medium yarding of calves. Unfinished sorts were easier up to late rates. Best runners sold at £4 5s to £7 10s. good £3 10s to £4; good calves £2 5s to 52s 6il; others l<*s to £••>.

Fat Klieep.—There was a large entry of fat sheep, and prices advanced on late rates. They were mostly wether* that were fonvarde. Prime wethers sold at 31s to 425; medium 30s to 335; others 28s to 325. Ewes sold: Prime 27s to 345, others 16s to 265.

Fat Lambs.—There were 3.200 fac lambs entered, and there was a brisk sale. The sale indeed was the best of the season. Best lambs lotchotl 32s to 335; prize 29s Gel to 31s 6d; medium and light 23s (id to 295.

Store Sheep.—ln this section thcic was a small entry and a dragging sale. Prices dropped Is (id. Three-quarter bred ewe lambs sold to 28s 9d; hnlfbreds 28s to 365; wether lambs up to 225. The adult stores were mostly wethers, and met a fair sale. l'ourtooth wethers sold to 325; six tooth wethers to 30s Sd ; ewes 20s 3d to 30s. Pigs.—A: very large pig yarding included too many light sorts. Heavier sorts sold up to late rates. Choppers fetched £2 to £1 15s; heavy porkers 46s to £3 : others £1 10s to 455. Heavy baConors sold at 80s to 110 s; medium 65s to 755; light 50s to 60s. Store pigs were hard to quit. Moaners sold at 3s (id to Bs. stores 11s to 25 s.
