In the House of Commons Sir Joynson Hicks st.itcd Prince Carol was allowed to laud on April 28th for a temporary visit of two months. Commander Keuworthy • “Was he asked during his stay not to engage in political activities?”
•Sir Joynson Hicks: “No.” Thurtle: “Is there any foundation for press statements that this socalled Roumanian plot is only a stunt organised hy central newspapers ? ’ Sir .Tovnson llicks; “l can only say that Prince Carol is writing to me on the subject. I can not say more (ill I have seen the letter.”
M'aeQiiisten: “Is it not perfectly clear that Prince Carol is not doing anything that concerns Britain?” .Sir Joynson Hicks: “That is not the point. He is not a British subject. He lias come to enjoy our hospitality. and must do nothing while here that might involve us with dofeign countries. ’
