ADDINCTON STOCK SALES. CHRISTCHURCH. April 25. This week’s sale at Addington took place yesterday. The entries were all .smaller than usual, but pri<cs were good. Fat Cattle.— Ihe beef yarding was a small one. Competition varied at times. Values were up to late rates, heavy sorts selling at CIO to Ll 7 17> (id, prime LI I 5s to do 15s. medium Cl2 Ills to Lit. light L< to U2. Heifers sold as follows: Prime 111 into ('ll ss, medium L'3 15s to CHI ss. light Lti 5s to L'7 15s. Cows sold as follows: Heavy Clt Ids to Cl 3 17s (Id. medium and light L"i 15s to CO ss. Fat Sheep.—There was another small entry and again it was mostly ewes. The quality generally was indifferent. 'I he market was firmer by Is per head. Prime wethers sold at 31s fid and 375. extra 30s Hid, medium 20s to 31 Is fid. others 275. prime ewes 23s to 27s fid. extra to 33s Id. medium 10s to 22s fid. light to His.
Store sheep entry was very small. Lambs were on a par with hue rates. Adult sheep were slightly better. Fat lambs were in good demand, the best fetching 31s 0d to 3ns Oil. prime 31s to 33s (Id. medium 2Ss fid to 30s fid. light 2fis to 235.
