A TRAGIC ENDING. JJONDON, April 17. Tin? cleatli of Mr Charles Sims, R.A.. was the tragic end of a career which was a strange medley of triumphs anil of defeats. He wa? recognised as the most poetical painter in England in his day. passing from triumph to triumph. Then the unhappy trouble over the King's portrait in 1925 broke his career, and made him cut himself off from his friends. While in the Cniteil States Sims attended many lectures on spiritualism. Recently lic unexpectedly returned in order to send six psychic pictures in the Royal Academy which are expected to he the sensation -of the R.A. Exhibition when it opens in May. They include one picture of a small naked figure, newly released by death, and rising into a glorious unknown, us well as other puzzling designs. Sir Frank Diekseo, President of the Royal Academy, pays that lie has never seen anything like them. He says that it is impossible to say what they represented. There is difference of opinion among the Academicians regarding their exhibition.
