Murdoch as representative.- Received. From Canterbury Education Board notifying reappointment of Hon H. L. Michel.—Received. From "Westland County Council, notifying reappointment of Mr A. Clifton as member of tho Board.—Received. From Treasury forwarding reserve rents, 97 12s Gd.—Received. From E. Partridge, Rector Hokitika D. H. S. recommending scholarship in 1928 and 1929 to Rota Thiele.—Received and action of chairman approved. Mr D. J. Evans (President of the Returned Soldiers’ Association) waited on the Board and after a short discussion it was resolved that the sub-committee previously appointed by the Board, arrange for a lease to, the Association on the. terms agreed upon, the Board to ho safeguarded to prevent the lease being utilised by other than the R.S.A. at the proposed peppercorn rental. The meeting then concluded.
