The whole exhibit was purchased by Messrs Barkers, proprietors of one of the big West End stores, and a further display was made in their shop. These displays on Smithfield Market of good quality If.mbs always attract a lot of attention from the butchers and others interested and thus helps the publicity side of our trade. The report of the three judges appointed h.v the Imported Meat Association Incorporated-—Messrs IV. T. Johnson, D. Messont and J. C. Hamilton—is as follows:

After judging these lambs a display was made of the whole consignment, when favourable comments were made as to the uniform quality and .symmetry of form which only a country like New Zealand can produce consistently. The disposition of the external iat was uniform and had a nice mellow tint which was pleasing to the eye. The legs were set wide apart and carried a good twist of meat. The hack broad and level throughout its length—wellrihbod up. Shoulders broad lull fleshed and level with the back. There was refinement in practically every carcase, and we congratulate the breeders tor producing such fine specimens of the ovine race.
