WEDNESDAY, MARCH 28th. The Board met at 4.45 p.m. Proscut: Messrs G. A. Wood (Chairman), E. W. Median. E. A. Wells and M. H. Houston. The minutes were confirmed and outward correspondence approved. 1 NAVARI) COR RESPONDKNCE. From Westland County Council notifying appointment of Mr E. A. Wells as member of the Board to represent the County. Received. From Harbours Association torwarding legal opinions covering enquiries from other Boards.—Received. From f.ambton and Co. Ltd. applying to hire engine for hush-hauler.—-Received and resolved to rent for twelve months on payment of £52, subject to immediate return if required for harbour purposes. From various, formal notifications.— Received. From Signalman reporting a straight channel with lift, of water; that a tire on the 19th. inst. had caused damage to the south wall and cost £7 5s in expenditure,.—Received. Resolved that Mr C. C. Spaces, without prejudice he relieved from liability on payment of the cash expenditure. £7 ss. Tt was resolved that Messrs Warren and Feeney lie required to screen with gravel or cinders the shavings deposited by them. ft was resolved to request Air Nolan, Okuru, to return the scoop lent for harbour improvement or pay £lO for it. Accounts amounting to £4OB 4s 6d were passed for payment. It was resolved to have necessary repairs to the signal station effected without delay. It was resolved to meet in future at 4 p.m. The Board rose at 6 p.m.
