This lauiasiic story of cowboys and crooks would cure the sceptic who thinks that there’s nothing new under the sun. Its ihe fastest-moving picture we've seen in ages ami Hull’s saying something: Harry Carey does some of the speediest fighting of his career and his performance as a whole is undoubtedly the best tiling he’s ever done. This is probably because the story was written from Carey’s own idea, and the role which is his first humorous one suits him to a T. Taken out of the “cow country” anil plunged into a of the most insidious gunmen in San Francisco's intriguing underworld. ■ Carey is given an opportunity to put over a brand new lot of the tricks ami stunts that have made him famous, and in addition he does some superb farce comedy stuff. Ho is supported by a dandy east, including lovely Lilian) Rich, who is good as a female porebelimber ; Francis ford. u horn | everybody remembers from the old •• Broken Coin” serial days; Harriot Hammond, who returns to the screen more beautiful than ever; So-Jim, the Japanese actor, who caused so much favourable comment by his line portrayal of the Celestial Prince in " The Thief of Bagdad ” : Paul Weigel, Stanton Heck. Jimmie Guinn, John Stoppling and Majel Coleman. So take our tip, and whether you’re a Carey fan or just a " movie ” fan. if you miss "Soil Shoes” you’re lotting yourself out of some spine-tingling thrills, ribtickling laughs.
