AUCKLAND. ATar.fli 13. Extensive (Inmate, estimated at not less than £BOOO was done to-night hy a fire in the margarine factory of Ahel Lt<J.. in Carlton Gore Road in Xewmarkte. One building "'as completely gutted hut the others were not damaged. Thirty vats, containing £IOOO of margarine were destroyed; also seven hundred boxes of margarine ready for shipment. The insurnnee is for ten to fifteen thousand sterling in the X.Z. Insiua nee Coy. BOY INJURED BY CAR. CHRISTCHURCH. March 13. R. Nixon, aged 14, was knocked down and seriously injured by a.motor lorry in the city to-day. He was admitted to the hospital with a fractured leg. His condition is serious.
