In view of the increased use of the razor as a weapon of offence, Cabinet has decided to amend the law to provide Hogging as a deterrent to razor gangsters. A deputation of alwrigines. full I,loaded and half-castes, waited on the Premier to air their grievances, and among other things asked tor. was the unrestricted admission ol educated natives to Perth; that native police should not be plated in control of the settlements, and that aborigines he allowed to carry firearms. as the prohibition prevented their making provision for their needs, that there should he no discrimination between full bloods and half castes and that those educated up to the standard of the whites should he exempted from the provisions of the Aborigine-, Act. The deputation opposed the suggested creation of a native state, declaring it would require as many soldiers and police to look after the states as there were aborigines in it.
