For Anjmai^. It may seem curious to some that in a motor age a city memorial should take the form of a drinking fountain for horses. However, we shall have some horses with us for a good many years to conic, if not always, and a drinking fountain for them is an obviously appropriate method of commemorating the services of an inspector for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. —Auckland Star.
