ADDINGTON STOCK SALES. CHRISTCHURCH, March 7. At Addington stock sales to-day prices ruled as follows: Fat Cattle.—47o head were forawnl. of very uneven quality. Heavy steers realised £ls to .HO 12s (id, medium £l2 10s to £l3 12s (id. plain £6 10s to £ll. I Is 6d ; heifers—best to £!) 10s to £ll 12s 6d, others £0 10s to £9; cows—best £!) and £lO ios, others £5 os to £8 ss. Fat Sheep.—The smallest yarding for some time. The quality was irregular. There was a rise ot Is (id to 2s fid. Heiuy wethers made 37s to lls (id. prime 32s to 355. medium 28s lo 31s 6(1, light to 24s fid ; ewes- heavy 23s 6d to 20s, medium 18s (id to 235, others 16s.
Store Sheep.—A. fair sized entry, good sorts inelnded. Lambs wore weaker. There was a pood attendance of the public. The market was easier for lambs. Adult better quality lambs realised 20s to 20s 2d; 15 17s to lOs 3d, C 15s to 10s; adult owes—best you up 35s to 38s Gd. medium 30s to Ills fid. inferior 26s to 28s Gd. others 22s to 255; sound month—best 27s to 31s. medium 20s to 25s fid. others l<s to 19s, culls 13s to 225. Lambs.—A small entry, with quality irregular. Several West Coast consignments were forward. I 1:0 re was a rise of Is to Is Gd. Best quality realised 30s lOd to 32s 7d. medium 28s to 30s, inferior 26s to 27s Gd. ■pj K s. There was a medium entry of porkers. The market was firm. There was a small entry of bacon and hea\\ pips.
