Westport hail a gala day on Saturday last. In the morning Millerton and Donniston played off for the Williams Cun and in the alteruoon the Bmianga howlers met Westport when the Ballinger Buckles were at stake. The green was playing very fast in the game Westport v. Runanga anti the howlers very often had to play int > the next rink and were generally playing too narrow. The standard of play of the Runanga howlers has improved considerably since the previous meeting two years ago. and Westport just managed to hold its own. winning by one point. The scores were. Runanga being mentioned first: Brown 13. Armstrong 27. Leech 17. Munson 28; Tulloch 32, Sunlev 14, Blaxall 21, Levy 19. Totals— Runanga 85, .Westport- 86.
