Central Richardson spoke to Matt prisoners yesterday afternoon and received a good hearing, after which Tamasese. as spokesman, said Man men felt that their grievances had been met. but they required time for further consideration of Richardson s speech to them, and would answer definitely in a day or two. The impression in well informed ciiw-le.s is that the Administrator - s direct talk to Man men cleared away manv fostered misunderstandings, and that the outlook is brighter than at any other -time in the last twelve months.
