Brown Led al! the way after the first couple of yards and won liv ten yards. Time l.lti 3-5, heating Tina Stockley’s previous record of 1.20. There was much disappointment by the big at tendance, owing to Miss Stoeklcy’s absence, as the result of indisposition. An exciting battle between her and the winner had been anticipated. 221) yards, free style -E. Dave.v 1. Kathleen Millar 2. 11, ’low 3. Millar led for the lirsl AO yards when Davey joined and they swam together to the last twenty yards. There was an <xeitiug struggle to the finish, Davey winning by a touch. Time 2.A2 1 —>: Millar 2.52 5-10. Miss Stockloy was also to have competed in this race, but her indisposition prevented lior.
