Aliss Ward, who has lately resigned from teaching at the School, was entertained Ivy the parents and children and presented with a parting gift. During Miss Ward’s time of teaching in Blue Spur, the children had improved wonderfully and everyone was indeed sorry to loose such an excellent teacher. During the afternoon Air Maxwell, from Canterbury, who has taken .Miss Ward’s place, was asked on behalf of the residents of Blue Spur to present Aliss Ward with a beautiful silver and mother of pearl manicure set. and a silver thimble from the girls. Air .Maxwell, in making the prosen--1 tat ion said he was very pleased to be ■ with them, and loped Miss ’Ward . would benefit by the change. He could | see Aliss Ward had endeared herself to - I one and all and could understand how sorry they were‘to part with her. I Aliss Ward, in thanking Air Afuxwell, the parents and children, said bow very sorry the felt at leaving the children and goal people of Blue Spur. She hardly thought she deserved all the kindly expressions and beautiful gifts, hut she had at all ■ times tried to do Dor best and was j gratified to know her efforts had been
