Frank AVade lias set out from Palm Beach, near Sydney, in the seven toil yacht, Siren for Auckland. Wade is sailing alone and expects to reach Auckland in three weeks. A CONFERENCE. MELBOURNE, Feb. 25. The Australasian Council Trades Union agreed to accede to the request of Mr Bruce to appoint delegates to the peace conference under certain specified conditions. These include the remodelling of the whole system of representation and the conference withdrawal of proposed amendments to the Arbitration Act. FOUND DEAD. .MELBOURNE, Feb. 27. A prosperous farmer, Martin Ryan, was found dead in a motor car in a garage, shot in the back of tlie bead. The police are convinced he was murdered and that the motive underlying the crime was to obtain possession of a will which Ryan was known to have made several days before.
