CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING
WEST ( OAST CHAMPIONSHIP. GREY-MOUTH, Feb. 17. One of the most successful features of the Show was the clay pigeon shooting competition. The Hokitika, Kokatalii, Greymouth, Stillwater, Aloonlight, Ahaura, Totara Flat and Jkanintua districts were all represented. Two contests took place each day, and the entries were good, while the coinpetition was close. The public displayed a keen interest in the events, which resulted as follows: First Sweepstake Handicap (time birds) —G. Hahn (19yds) 1, J. Fitzgerald (10yds) 2. Second Sweepstake Handicap (six birds). —G. Hill (16) 1. S. Alirfin (14) 2. Third Sweepstake Handicap isix birds) —\V. Kelly (14) six birds 1, AY. Lilies i 1(5) 2. G .Hill (16). X. Russell (16) and C. Alirfin (15) tied with Lines, who won the shoot-off. AYest Coast Championship (9 birds) —G. Ilalm (Ahaura) 8 kills 1, T. Gilmer (Moonlight) 7 kills 2.
