SWIMMING CARNIVAL
The annual swimming sports of the Hokitika District High School were held yesterday in beautiful weather before a large attendance of parents and friends. During the afternoon an exhibition of swimming and diving was given by Air W. Keesing, whit'll proved of great interest both to scholars and grown-ups, the dicky-bird and statue dives feeing very popular with the children. The school staff wish to convey their thanks to the Hokitika Swimming Club for the use of the baths, Air AA T . Keesing for his exhibition and for his services in judging the diving events, Air R. Lynn, who officiated as starter, Air Randall and Air A. King, timekeepers, Afr Rowe, who assisted the starter, and the Caretaker of the baths, who did much to assist the success of the function.
