The recovery from terrible injuries of Frederick Buslioll. a dairyman, who is alleged to have attempted suicide by shooting himself through the mouth with a sporting gun, was described at Birmingham, when a remand for a week was ordered so that he might he kept under medical observation. The injured man, who lias been in liospial since October 7th. was unable to speak and his face was thickly bandaged. A police inspector stated that the left side of Bushell's face was practically blown away, the teeth, a portion of the gums and even part of the tongue having disappeared. Tt. had been necessary to feed him on liquid food by means of a tube. Mr Cecil Cox, on behalf of BusTveH, said bis recovery bad been wonderful, and tbe hospital authorities declared him to he now in a perfectly normal state of mind.
