At the annual meeting ol the New /calami (’roquet Council the Chairman (Mr Murray) said they could congratulate themselves nil their financial position, the credit balance being better than ever before. Officers elected were :—President. A. 0. F. Ross (Christchurch) and Archdeacon Creed Meredith (Wanganui); secretary and treasurer, C. A. E. I'ciguson (Palmerston North); Dominion handieapper and referee, R. Canghlcy. It. was decided to challenge for the M('Robertson Shield, which the Chairman sail! would become Ibn "Davis Cup” of croquet. , Medals donated by the English Croquet Association will he competed for in Auckland. It was decided to bold the next annual tourney at W anganui and the North Island fixture at New Plymouth. TAUMERSTON N., Feb. 15. The croquet tournament was eontinned this morning.
