At the annual meeting ol the New /calami (’roquet Council the Chairman (Mr Murray) said they could congratulate themselves nil their financial position, the credit balance being better than ever before. Officers elected were :—President. A. 0. F. Ross (Christchurch) and Archdeacon Creed Meredith (Wanganui); secretary and treasurer, C. A. E. I'ciguson (Palmerston North); Dominion handieapper and referee, R. Canghlcy. It. was decided to challenge for the M('Robertson Shield, which the Chairman sail! would become Ibn "Davis Cup” of croquet. , Medals donated by the English Croquet Association will he competed for in Auckland. It was decided to bold the next annual tourney at W anganui and the North Island fixture at New Plymouth. TAUMERSTON N., Feb. 15. The croquet tournament was eontinned this morning. Miss Hesketh (Auckland) 20. 1, adies Clianip.ioiisbip Singles, second life. 4th. round: —Miss Hesketh (Auckland) 2(i heat Mrs Watkins (Hastings) IS.
