AUSTRALIAN CRICKETERS. TEAM LEAVES TO-MORROW. (Received this day at 10.15 a.m.l SYDNEY. Eeh. 9. The Australian cricket team to tour New Zealand leaves Sydney by the Mamma for Wellington to-morrow morning. The “ Herald ” says that the Australians should give a good account of themselves. The experience should he beneficial to the younger memliers wlm in a few years will have to uphold the prestige of Australian cricket on the international field. The conditions in New Zealand can compare with those in England. It is hoped a few ram damaged wickets will he encountered as the benefits to he derived from such an experience would he incalcuable to Ponsford, Kippnx, Richardson, and others who otherwise would he at a disadvantage if the international matches coming are to he decided on* wet pickets.
