'Fhe maintenance of some element of wireless and cable competition in the interests alike of the press and public, was emphasised in the Empire Press Unions memorandum to the Mireless Conference. It further point's out, in the absence of competition, the possibility of which is now apparent, and of scientific research, there will be a stagnation of commercial enterprise as shown by table administration before wireless came in. It is essential in the interests of international undemanding and co-operation that there must be”the quickest and cheapest press fatalities, with due regard to the l'ossi-'-ffility of future reductions of press rates. Finally it quotes the Geneva Press Conference resolution advocating maximum competition.
