}lO LSTETN—BERN HAR I). The Catholic Cathedral, Christchurch, was tiio scene of a pretty, but quiet wedding on Monday, 16th January, when the Right Rev. Dr Kennedy, of Christchurch, united Kathleen Gertrude, only daughter of Mrs A. L. Bernhard, of Kuinara, to Hector, fourth son of Mr and -Airs C. Holstein, of O’Kane’s Bay, Banks Peninsula. Tn bride, who was escorted by her uncle, Mr W. Bernhard, of Ruatapu, wore a charming frock of ivory georgette and wnite satin, with long circular georgette sleeves. Her tulle veil, which fell gracefully from a coronet of orange blossom, was beautiflly embroidered, with silver shoes and stockings to tone. A note of pink was introduced among the white dowers of her fragrant bouquet. Miss Millie McKeag atttended the bride in a dainty sleeveless frock of cameo pink georgette, relieved with hue silver lace. She wore a becoming hat of pastel blue crinolene, with silver shoes and stockings to match, and a harmonising bouquet. Air AV. J. Wilson of Christchurch performed the duties ol best man. The reception was held at Dixieland, where all had a very enjoyable time. The bride’s aunt. Airs A. Drvdeii. of Christchurch, wore a frock of black figured crepe de chine, with hat and shoes to tone. In the evening tlie couple left for Wellington to join the Alarama. sailing for Sydney on Friday, where they will in future reside. The bride travelled in a black and white suit, with hat to match.
