The Municipal Band inarched to Cass Square last evening and played a very attractive musical programme there, that was much appreciated by a large number who gathered to listen to the music.

The Blackball district picnic excursion arrived by train this ]no Hiring at 10.30 o’clock, there being a good number aboard. Cass Square was made the general rendezvous but the visitors spread themselves all over the town during the day. The weather continued gloriously fine fir the outing.

The material for the now J ridge at Rocky Creek on the main highway to Olira is now to hand, and the work of erection will bp put in baud immediately. The plans for Potter’s Creek bridge ,noar Waiho, on the main highway, have been approved, and the material ordered. The bridge will be of hardwood with steel girders.
