In Saturday’s brilliant weather several hundred people saw AVellington swimming centre conduct championship trials for the New Zealand championships team at Riihliford Baths, Lower Unit. There were some, fine performances, the event of the day coining when A\ • Cameron (LyallL.iy) established a New Zealand fresh waterrecord for one hundred yards which lie covered in 59 2-5 seconds. Two ot tl ? four timekeepers win: clocked bis effort made the time under this. The diving trial was won by J. Cameron, with "AY. Hicks second.
