TASMAN FLIGHT

(By Telegraph—Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 7.

The Secretary of the General Post Office announces that arrangements

have been made to fly flags at the principal Post Offices in the Dominion on the receipt of news that- the aviators have left Sydney, should the flight commence on Sunday morning or if for any reason it is postponed till Monday morning or a later date, the same action will be taken on the date of the flight. The Department has also arranged for certain of its officers on the AYcst Coast of both Islands to report quickly to Wellington should the aviators he sighted during their approach to the Dofinion.

FLYERS NOT LEFT VET. SYDNEY, Jan. 9. The actual hour of the departure of the New Zealand flyers is kept secret, besides being dependent upon the state of the weather. The Observatory, issuing special weather reports in c'fiiinectioii with the (light to-night says, stormy southerly winds and rough weather prevails over the western" half of the Tasman Sea. While these conditions prevail, they are unlikely to start, ns the jump off will he made at two, in the morning. The flight has promised the Press Association to advise them the night previous to the morning chosen to make the departure.
